A comprehensive DTI (Dial Test indicator) gauge set, designed to be used for the accurate measurement of engine, brake and machine components. Accurate measurement of camshaft position, shaft alignment, disc and flywheel warpage etc. is critical in the automotive and engineering industries. The switchable magnetic base allows the stand to be magnetically secured to any iron or steel surface and the articulated mounting post gives a wide range of adjustment to ensure the DTI gauges can be held securely at almost any angle. Why 2 DTI gauges? The 7687 kit is supplied with 2 styles of gauge - the 60mm diameter plunger type gauge is best suited to the measurement of depth and height, for example piston deck heights or DSG actuator position; the 30mm diameter lever type gauge is best suited to measuring runout on rotating surfaces like brake discs, flywheels and shafts.
